Coffee Percs

Many a time I’ve lived for days on nothin’ but coffee and dust. It’s a test of your manhood.”

Mornin’ Pard, come on in.  Sorry I didn’t wait for yuh this mornin’ but I surely wanted a cup of coffee.  Don’t be frettin’ none, I made a whole pot and if’n that one goes dry I can always make another.  Wanted that early coffee Pard, so that was the first thing on my mind.  There’s several things stirrin’ ’round up there.
Of course today is a solemn day, or at least it should be.  This country’s in trouble and that’s a fact.  In trouble in more ways than one.  My mercy, what has happened.  Today is Patriot Day–the day we remember that deadly attack on the Twin Towers.  The day that Isalmic jihadists took aim at innocent civilians.  Some of the things they are sayin’ out there today is just downright shameful and really don’t make any sense.  The “woke” crowd, and that bunch of snowflakes and twinkies say that 9/11 education should “avoid blame”.  There should be no name callin’, no attachin’ blame to any group of people.  They want a “live and let live” philosophy, but Pard, the other side don’t agree with that.  The “wokes” say that all the gruesome details of the event should be hidden.  In fact, the best way to discuss what happened on 9/11 is not to discuss it at all.  Pard, almost makes me want to cry at their foolishness.  With what has just happened and is happenin’ in Afghanistan how can/did we become so complacent?
Another thing that just jerks my jaws was what the President said the other day in a speech.  He said, “We’re going to protect vaccinated workers from unvaccinated co-workers.”  Now, Pard, I ain’t no genius, but look at that statement.  If a person is vaccinated, and if the vaccination is supposed to work why in the world do they need to be protected from the unvaccinated?  Now, that one’s got me scratchin’ my head.  Yuh seein’ why I needed to be drinkin’ my coffee before yuh showed up.  Foolishness abounds; stupidity is held high on a pedestal–of course, them folks that are doin’ it don’t have a clue, or, hmmm, it’s part of a diabolical agenda.
Take a deep swallow, for I’ve got another one for yuh.  I saw that some wise-guy professor,  (I don’t really know what it is that he professes) said that apple pie is racist.  Now, that one kinda dumb-struck me.  It was all about something from the Columbian Exchange, the whiteness of the crust, and the slave labor producin’ the sugar.  My how some folk get hung up on what took place a couple hundred years ago.  Shows their purposeful ignorance, which is stupidity, because there is more slavery today than ever before in history.
Pard, we just keep goin’ on.  Coffee to soothe the gizzard, then we move forward.  Saddle up and head out to do the work of the day for that’s what the Lord expects of us.  We leave things, and that means our lives in His hands.  We get the job done, and Pard, that means yuh have to check yur cinch.
        Vaya con Dios.
